A fitness centre, softly lit and with parquet floor, is housed in the basement of the Hotel de Sers and comprises a steam room with white tiled walls, beige marble floor and grey marble benches, a pine sauna, and a gym with three cardio machines, each with a TV and remote control. Refreshments (bottled mineral water and fresh fruit) are laid out. Alternatively, guests can book massages in their rooms.

The eight-storey Hotel de Sers, Paris, features 52 air-conditioned guestrooms with contemporary rosewood furniture designed by Poltrona Frau and fabrics by Missoni. Rooms have modular lighting and are decorated with red, burgundy, mauve and pink-grey fabrics, set off by white or pastel walls and crisp, white bedding. All rooms features Bang & Olufsen plasma screen televisions with radio/DVD/CD players (DVD library offers films for a surcharge), minibars, and complimentary high-speed Internet connections. In-room massages are available via the Concierge. Italian marble bathrooms include bathrobes and slippers, toiletries by Anne Semonin, containing botanical ingredients such as walnut, seaweed and St John’s wort. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) Approximate driving time to Hotel de Sers is 45 minutes and distance is 30 kilometres (18.5 miles).
Getting there: The RER train service runs from the airport. Line B runs from the TGV station at Terminals 1 and 2 to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-les-Halles, St Michel and Denfert-Rochereau (around €9, single ticket), with connections for the metro. There are plenty of taxis outside the Arrivals area which go to central Paris (costing around €40). Roissybus serves all three terminals and runs to Opéra (around €9, single ticket) for metro, RER and bus services. Air France coaches stop at the the Arc de Triomphe, Porte Maillot, Gare de Lyon and Montparnasse (around €10 one way, €17 return). The hotel also has a shuttle service (surcharge).
Driving directions: From Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, take the A1 west Péripherique (ring road) towards Porte de la Chapelle. Exit at Porte Maillot, then follow the Avenue de la Grande Armée, Champs Elysées, Avenue George V, and take the third road on the right.
Paris Orly Airport (ORY)Approximate driving time to Hotel de Sers is 40 minutes and distance is 18 kilometres (11 miles).
The Orlyval train (around €9, single ticket) runs from both terminals and connects with RER line B, which stops at Denfert-Rochereau, St Michel, Châtelet-les-Halles and Gare du Nord, with connections for the metro. There are plenty of taxis outside the Arrivals area which run to central Paris (around €40). ADP shuttle buses leave from both terminals. The Air France Bus from the airport stops 600 meters from the hotel and costs around €10 The Orlybus operates between Denfert Rochereau and the airport (around €6, single ticket). The hotel also has a shuttle service (surcharge).
Driving directions: From Paris Orly Airport, follow signs for Paris and take the Porte d’Orléans exit. Turn left onto Avenue du Maine and left onto Boulevard du Montparnasse at Place du 18 Juin 1940; turn left onto Avenue de Tourville, continue to Place de l’Ecole Militaire, Avenue Bosquet, Place de la Résistance and cross Pont de l’Alma. After Place de l’Alma take Avenue George V, then first left onto Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie.The easiest way to get around Paris is via the fast, cheap and reliable Metro service. The nearest Metro stations are George V (line 1) and Alma-Marceau (line 9). Eurostar travellers can take line 4 from Gare du Nord to Châtelet, then line 1 to George V. Alternatively, a taxi from Gare du Nord costs around €20.
